MEN’S
KIM WYANT
Coach Kim Wyant has extensive playing and coaching experience at all levels. As a player, Coach Wyant was the first goalkeeper in the history of the U.S. Women's National Soccer Team and recipient of the Special Recognition Award from the National Soccer Hall of Fame in 2008. In college, Coach Wyant won the first-ever NCAA Women's National Championship Game, was named the NCAA Tournament MVP, was a First Team All-American as a senior, and was inducted into the University of Central Florida’s Athletics Hall of Fame in 2010. Wyant, who has experience as a player, coach, and GM at the professional level, is entering her ninth season as the NYU Men’s Soccer Head Coach.
JOE RUESGEN
Coach Joe Ruesgen has played and coached at both the collegiate and professional levels. He has experience coaching in both Scotland and U.S. for the last 20+ years. Coach Joe also holds coaching licenses with the S.F.A, USSF, and USC and is entering his eigth season as the assistant coach at New York University.
GREG KENNEY
Coach Greg Kenney is a former professional and record breaking 4-year player at Penn State University. Coach Greg has coached at the collegiate, amateur, and high school levels, in addition to working with the NSCAA in goalkeeping curriculum development. Coach Greg is entering his ninth season as an assistant coach at New York University.
SEBASTIANO MANA
Coach Sebastiano Mana has been involved in the professional soccer environment, both as a player and coach, in Italy for over 20 years, notably with Juventus. In the U.S., Coach Seba has experience at the director position, working with goalkeepers at the elite youth levels of the development academy. Coach Seba holds his USSF goalkeeper license and is entering his fourth season as an assistant coach at New York University
WOMENS
NIKKI DRIESSE
Driesse is a New Jersey native. She graduated from Penn State University in 2017 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Recreation, Park and Tourism Management. Driesse attended Florida State as well as Penn State where she acquired two National Championships winning back-to-back years with each school. Driesse was a two-year member and one-year captain of the Nittany Lions' women's soccer team. Driesse has professional playing experience including internationally as well. Driesse was drafted by the Orlando Pride in the National Women's Soccer League (NWSL) and currently still plays in the USL-W for Paisley but also has the opportunity to compete with the Puertorican women’s soccer national team. Driesse has coaching experience, leading Northern Highlands (NJ) High School to league championships in 2019 and 2020 and to the state sectional final in 2020. Driesse has been coaching at PDA the last 3 years where she grew up playing youth club soccer. Nikki Driesse was hired as New York University's Assistant Women's Soccer Coach in July 2021. Her responsibilities include recruiting and working with the Violets’ attackers.
CARMEN PROFFITT
Proffitt is a Brooklyn, NY, native and resident. Proffitt possesses a plethora of both coaching and playing experience. As the starting goalkeeper (and current member) of Brooklyn City F.C., she ranked seventh in saves in the United Women’s Soccer League in 2021. Proffitt also serves as the club’s Goalkeeper Coach. Proffitt earned an Associate’s degree in Sports Management from Monroe College in 2018, where she was both a President’s List and Dean’s List student. As an undergraduate at Brooklyn College, where she is pursuing a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management, Proffitt was a member of the City University of New York (CUNY) All-Star Team during the 2019-20 season. Carmen Proffitt was hired as an assistant coach of the New York University Women’s Soccer Team prior to the 2021-22 academic year. She is serving as the Violets’ Goalkeeper Coach. Also a Volunteer Coach at Gotham Girls F.C. in 2019, Proffitt accumulated additional experience as a Coach/Counselor at the MB Sports Camps in Milton, MA (2017-18).
